Download PDFIn this video, I'll explain the three DOT functions of tail, break and turn signal using the tri-color configuration as my example. For starters, I'll select the input I wish to associate with the tail function. I'll then click tail, the brightness level I wish to associate, and then I'll click the module that I want to activate. I'm only given the choice of the three colors I have previously set in the first step. In this case, it's red, blue and amber. any module I select, I can simply click and associate the color of that tail function. Again, tail is typically at a 10% intensity, but you could select it up to 100% if you desire that. Let's go ahead and program turn signal now. I'll simply select the input I wish to associate with the turn signal. I'll select the turn signal tab, and in this case it'll be a left turn signal. So I can click left to label that input for future reference. Once turn signal selected most likely I'll turn it up to 100% intensity but first I need to select the module. I'll pick the red module for left turn signal and I can add any additional modules I wish to. In typical application red turn signal is in the rear and amber turn signals in the front but since my tricolor option does not have amber selected in that module spot I don't have access to an amber module so I could select red if I wish to. That application applies for the left turn signal. If I want to apply a right turn signal I can select input, associate that input with the right turn signal, choose the turn signal tab, and of course select the color that I wish to associate with that right turn signal. Brightness level could be 100% if I desire that. Let's go ahead and go to break signal. Same similar application applies. First I'll select the input that I want to associate with the brake light, select the brake signal itself, and then pick the module that I wish to add a brake signal to. I can select multiple modules or just one, only the rear of the light bar applies. I can select my pattern type, do I want it just to activate steady on or do I want a brake pop pattern with it, and of course my brightness level with that. Some customers will choose the 100% intensity while many customers will most likely pick roughly a 50% intensity. That concludes how to program tail, turn, and break signal using the Quantum Software Configurator.
