About Us | Feniex Industries

Feniex Industries  ·  Austin, Texas

Made in America — built in Austin, Texas

We are not a brand that sources finished lights and puts a badge on them. Feniex designs, assembles and tests its own emergency lighting, sirens and controllers in one building on the south side of Austin — and has done for 16 years.

How one gets made

Three rooms, one building

A Feniex light is designed, assembled and burned in inside the same building. This is that sequence, in order.

The Feniex engineering lab at night, an illuminated LED panel array on the bench lighting the room.
Station 01

Designed

Optics, thermal behaviour and flash pattern are worked out on the bench here in Austin, on hardware our own engineers laid out. The product is decided in this room before a single part is ordered.

Station 02

Built

Extrusions, boards and optics come together at our own benches, by our own people, on our own floor. Not sourced finished and badged — assembled here, station by station, and signed off before it moves.

Station 03

Tested

Every build runs on the burn-in racks before it is allowed near a box. Hours of powered operation, every color, every pattern — the failures we would rather find here than on the side of a highway at 2am.

The Feniex conference room in the evening, red chairs around a lit table beneath a wall of framed United States patent certificates.

Proof of invention

That wall is patents

The frames behind the table in our conference room are United States patents issued to Feniex. They are the difference between a company that develops its own technology and one that buys somebody else’s and prints a new name on the box.

It is also why the warranty runs as long as it does. When the design, the tooling and the line all belong to you, standing behind the product for a decade is a decision you are actually free to make.

The people

Everyone who builds it works here

Engineering, assembly, support and sales are all under one roof in Austin. When you call about a wiring diagram, the person answering can walk to the bench where it was designed.

The Feniex open-plan office after hours, every monitor awake and the Feniex wordmark lit on the far wall.
The Feniex reception at night, the wall screen lit and raking across a faceted black feature wall.

The front desk

Suite 175, Austin, Texas. The front door to everything we build.

The Feniex training room mid-session, the screen throwing cool light across rows of red chairs.

The classroom

Where dealers and installers get trained on what we build.

The Feniex demo room, a full-size truck outline on the wall fitted with powered lightbars, grille and mirror lights, a work table in front.

The demo room

Every current product, powered, in one room. It is how we settle arguments.

Sixteen years of it

A million products, one building

More than a million Feniex products have gone out of this door and onto something like a hundred thousand vehicles — police, fire, EMS, towing and amber fleets across the country. All of them designed, built and tested in Austin, Texas.

Come see it

The door is on Stassney Lane

We are a real address, not a distribution agreement. If you are in Austin and want to see the floor, call ahead and we will show you around it.
