How to Wire & Service Spoiler and Pillar

So let's go into a little bit more detail on both how you wire and service your spoiler and pillar mounts.

Let's talk about the 14-pin harness, for starters. You have your red and black cables that connect to your battery, your white and green cables that connect to your USB module, and your 10 input mode wires. That harness connects to your 10x controller, both the power and ground and your mode wires, including your two serial wires. The 10x controller is not waterproof, so it's installed inside your vehicle. Again, we provide you roughly four feet of cabling from the module itself to the controller. This gives you enough distance to install the controller itself either in the headlight or behind one of the panels of the vehicle. Now each harness is labeled from J3 to J8. That's important because it connects to the respected ports on the 10x controller. You wanna disconnect the modules themselves from the controller so that you can run the cabling through the panel of the vehicle and then into the controller itself. Find the number itself, for example, J7 on this harness and connect it to the J7 port that's on the actual controller. Servicing any part of this product is actually pretty simple. On the module end, you can simply unscrew the module from the housing itself and service that module. Or if you have an issue with one of the controllers, you can simply disconnect every single port and service the controller itself separate from the rest of the product line. Now, before you install your spoiler or pillar mounts, you want to program your 10 inputs first and also configure the bar relative to the color configuration that you ordered. To do this, I'm gonna apply power to my red and black cable and then connect my USB module to the computer. After power is applied, connect the USB module to your computer. Once the USB module is connected to your computer, the software program automatically pops up. Right away, you'll notice the unlock levels from Amber to Single color, which is the current status of this bar, to Dual, Tri, Quad, and Quint. We'll talk about upgrading in the next video. On the left, you'll see the product information, which includes the product name category, the version, of course, the PUID, the production date of when it was made, and then the warranty date of when the product was first programmed. Your five year warranty begins from the warranty date of when it was programmed. On the far left here is a configuration. We'll talk about the configuration piece in the next video. Once your bar has been configured and programmed, then you can move to the installation process. Again, we'll go into more details of configuring and upgrading in our next video series. Thank you.
